There has been an interesting exhibition on female painters during the end of the 19th century. At that time, women were not allowed to fully study arts in Germany. To learn more, some went to the much more liberal Paris and got their training both in the Academies and with french painters like Matisse.
Today, most have been forgotten by the art circles, therefore the exhibition to enhance awareness of what those women achieved.
